It was supposed to be the best day of her life. Instead, the marriage of TikToker @noiwontthanks ended in disaster. In a video that has since been deleted, the US-American told her story.

The New York Post investigated the case. According to the story, the couple got married without much fanfare. Everything seemed fine, the bride was happy. Until her husband ruined everything about a minute after saying yes.

Because when the registrar suggested that the newlyweds come back to him in ten years' time to tell him about the marriage, it happened: the bride agreed and jokingly replied that she would hopefully still "fit into the same dress".

Her husband, on the other hand, didn't say much more than "or smaller" (or a smaller dress). But that was enough to ruin the marriage before it had even really begun.

Two words were enough to break the bride's heart

"I died inside and froze like a statue. I felt like I couldn't even breathe," said the American, describing her reaction at the time.

After that, everything felt like the beginning of the end - and that's exactly what it was. "My heart just broke," she said. Despite this shocking moment, the couple stayed together for ten long years and only then divorced.

On her TikTok channel, @noiwontthanks repeatedly talks about being the victim of emotional abuse during this time.

"He tried to convince me I was crazy. He hated me from the start," the American believes. The two words in the wedding room were just a harbinger of the time that followed.

According to the American, she is now "on a healing journey", sharing her experience with other women on the internet and finally feeling free.
