Instead of giving up on her marriage, she gave her husband an ultimatum. Speaking to Newsweek this week, she revealed what was behind it: first and foremost, their children together.

"I knew that one day they would ask me everything, and I had to be able to look them in the eye and say that I had tried everything to save them," explained Harrington, who lives with her family in the USA .

She had given her husband 30 days to give her a reason not to file for divorce. "I also included a list of things I needed to see from him, including finding a counselor who specializes in porn addiction."

So Harrington's husband really did still have a chance. But was he even prepared to take it?

In fact, the father began to rotate like crazy. Instead of burying his head in the sand, he worked through his wife's demands one by one. Over time, Harrington's anger at the betrayal turned to admiration as her husband made every effort to make amends.

But this also came at a price: for three years, the couple worked intensively together to save the marriage. In return, Harrington and her husband ended up with a better relationship than they had ever had before. This is also why they became parents again.

"You can have an incredible marriage after infidelity. When they shed the stigma and see it as part of their history, but not their identity, everything changes," the US-American told News magazine.

Harrington now advises other couples who are in a relationship crisis. An Instagram video in which she reflects on her own story received almost 20 million clicks last year.
